കൊച്ചി: രാജ്യത്ത് സർവീസ് നടത്തുന്ന വന്ദേ ഭാരത് എക്സ്പ്രസ് ട്രെയിനുകളിൽ യാത്രാനിരക്കിലും (ഒക്യുപെൻസി റേറ്റ്) ജനപ്രീതിയിലും കേരളത്തിലെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം - മംഗളൂരു സർവീസ് ഒന്നാമതെത്തി. നിലവിൽ രാജ്യത്തുടനീളം 160-ലധികം വന്ദേ ഭാരത് ട്രെയിനുകൾ സർവീസ് നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. റെയിൽവേ ബോർഡ് പുറത്തുവിട്ട 2025–26 സാമ്പത്തിക വർഷത്തെ കണക്കുകൾ പ്രകാരം, കേരളത്തിലൂടെയുള്ള ഈ സർവീസിലാണ് ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന യാത്രാനിരക്ക് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
189.35 ശതമാനമാണ് തിരുവനന്തപുരം - മംഗളൂരു വന്ദേ ഭാരതിന്റെ ഒക്യുപെൻസി റേറ്റ്. ഓരോ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും യാത്രക്കാർ ഇറങ്ങുന്നതനുസരിച്ച് വീണ്ടും ടിക്കറ്റുകൾ ബുക്ക് ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നതിന്റെ ആകെ തോത് കണക്കാക്കിയാണ് ഈ നിരക്ക് നിശ്ചയിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. സർവീസ് ആരംഭിച്ച കാലം മുതൽ മികച്ച സ്വീകാര്യത ലഭിച്ച ട്രെയിനിൽ, വർഷങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അതേ യാത്രാതിരക്ക് മാറ്റമില്ലാതെ തുടരുകയാണെന്ന് റെയിൽവേ അധികൃതർ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

Kochi: The Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru Vande Bharat Express has recorded the highest occupancy rate among all Vande Bharat services across India. Currently, more than 160 Vande Bharat trains operate nationwide, with official data released by the Railway Board for the financial year 2025–26 confirming the Kerala service as the most sought-after route.
The Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru service achieved an impressive occupancy rate of 189.35 percent. Occupancy rates are calculated based on the cumulative seat bookings made as passengers deboard and new passengers board across intermediate halts. Railway officials highlighted that the strong passenger demand observed since the launch of the service continues unabated.
